Itinerary for Premium Devi Darshan Package

Day 1

Arrival & Start of Pilgrimage:

Your can start your spiritual journey from Amb Andaura, Pathankot, or Chandigarh (Airport or Railway Station). From here, you will be received and driven to Maa Chintapurni Dham, located in the Una district of Himachal Pradesh.

Visit to Maa Chintapurni Temple:
This sacred shrine is one of the 51 Shakti Peeths of India. According to legend, the feet of Maa Sati fell at this place. The temple is dedicated to Chintapurni Devi, also known as Chhinnamastika Devi—the goddess who fulfills the worries of her devotees.

As per the Shri Markandeya Purana, when Mother Chandi defeated the demons, she cut off her own head to quench the blood thirst of her yogini aides, Ajaya and Vijaya, with her blood. This self-sacrificial act is why she came to be known as Chhinnamastika Devi. The temple holds great spiritual significance, and touching the lotus feet of the goddess is believed to bring peace and blessings.

Note: It is advised not to carry Halwa prasad from Chintapurni Temple to Jwala Ji Temple.

Drive to Jwala Ji (Post Visit):
After darshan at Chintapurni, proceed to the sacred temple of Maa Jwala Ji, located in the Kangra district.

Evening Visit – Jwala Ji Shaktipeeth:
The Jwala Ji Temple is one of the most revered Shaktipeeths, where Maa Sati is worshipped in the form of an eternal flame (Paawan Jyoti) emerging from rock fissures. This temple is unique as it doesn’t have an idol—the flame itself is considered the divine form of the goddess.

The temple performs five Aartis daily, and experiences large gatherings during Chaitra and Ashwin Navratras, as well as the month of Shravan. Tuesdays and Fridays are considered especially auspicious, with special poojas being performed on these days. Later return to your hotel for over night stay.

Day 2

Baglamukhi – Brajeshwari Devi – Chamunda

Morning: Departure to Baglamukhi Temple

After check-out, we begin the day with a spiritually enriching visit to Maa Baglamukhi Temple, one of the ten Mahavidyas in Shaktism. Revered for her divine power to subdue enemies and dispel negativity, devotees believe that wishes made here—especially after performing homagni and hawan—are granted. People come seeking success in legal matters, exams, personal goals, and overall life peace.
The name Baglamukhi is derived from two Sanskrit words: Bagala (meaning “bride”) and mukhi (“face”), symbolizing the goddess’s hypnotic and captivating power that defeats evil. Yellow, believed to be the deity's favourite colour, dominates the temple’s ambiance—from its painted walls to the yellow attire of the devotees and the yellow sweets offered as prasad.
The temple becomes especially vibrant during festivals like Navratri, Guru Purnima, and Vasant Panchami, celebrated with special pujas and aartis.

Midday: Visit to Brajeshwari Devi Temple (Nagarkot Dham), Kangra

Next, we drive towards Kangra to visit the sacred Shree Nagarkot Vajreshwari Devi Temple, also known as Brajeshwari Devi Shaktipeeth. This temple is believed to be a powerful healing center where devotees are relieved of suffering merely by catching a glimpse of the goddess.

Inside the sanctum sanctorum, three divine pindis are worshipped:
  • Mother Vajreshwari (main deity)
  • Mother Bhadrakali
  • Mother Ekadashi

This is also the place where the legendary devotee Dhyanu Bhakt offered his head to the goddess. Followers of Dhyanu often visit dressed in yellow, considering it highly auspicious.
The most significant festival celebrated here is Makar Sankranti (mid-January). Legend says that after slaying Mahishasura, the goddess was injured and healed herself by applying butter to her body. During this festival, the pindi is covered with butter, which devotees later take home as it is believed to cure skin ailments.

Evening: Arrival at Chamunda & Darshan at Chamunda Devi Temple

Later, we proceed to Chamunda, where you'll check in to your pre-booked hotel and relax for a while.

In the evening, we visit the powerful Chamunda Devi Temple, nestled amidst the scenic Dhauladhar hills. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Chamunda, a fierce form of Goddess Durga, and is considered the combined abode of Shiva and Shakti.

Behind the temple is a cave-like recess where a lingam of Lord Nandikeshwar Shiva is enshrined beneath a sacred boulder. Nearby, a water tank houses the idols of Lord Shiva and Goddess Saraswati. The soothing chants and the temple’s natural surroundings make it an ideal place for peace, prayer, and reflection.

Night Stay: Hotel in Chamunda

Day 3

Baijnath Shiva Temple Gupt Ganga Temple Una

Morning: Drive to Baijnath Shiva  Temple

Next, proceed towards the Baijnath Temple, one of the oldest and most revered temples dedicated to Lord Shiva in his form as Vaidyanath—the Lord of Physicians. Built in 1204 AD, the temple is an excellent example of Shikhara-style architecture, adorned with intricate floral carvings and divine sculptures that enhance its spiritual and artistic aura.

Highlights of the temple:
  • A 20-feet-high Mandapa, supported by four intricately carved pillars.
  • Two majestic Nandi Bull statues, one with a small human figure clutching Nandi’s tail.
  • The temple’s holy water is believed to possess medicinal and healing properties.

Legend: It is said that Ravana, the demon king, offered his head ten times in sacrifice to Lord Shiva at this very spot. Due to this act of devotion, Dussehra is not celebrated in the temple.

After exploring the temple complex and its serene gardens, we begin our return journey towards Una, stopping en route at Palampur to visit the scenic tea gardens, which offer stunning views and photo opportunities.

Afternoon: Visit to Gupt Ganga and Achhara Kund Temples

Later in the day, we head back to the Gupt Ganga Temple and the mystical Achhara Kund, also known as the Fairy Place. According to local legends, fairies bathe in this sacred kund during Brahma Muhurat, filling the atmosphere with divine energy.
Nearby, a natural waterfall, formed by the waters of Gupt Ganga, is believed to offer healing for severe ailments and relief from negative energies or spirits. Pilgrims often bathe here, hoping for physical and spiritual purification.
Another popular legend tells of King Puran Vasu, who was blessed with four sons after bathing in Akshara Kund, following Lord Indra’s advice. Today, childless couples visit this waterfall and bathe in the sacred waters with the hope of conceiving.

Evening: Drive to Una for Night Stay
After this spiritually enriching and scenic day, we drive towards Una, where you’ll check in to your hotel for a comfortable night stay.

Perched atop a picturesque hill at an altitude of 1,219 meters in the Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh, the temple offers not only a deep spiritual experience but also breathtaking natural vistas.

There are three ways to ascend to the temple:
  • By foot: Take the well-constructed stairs, ideal for devotees who wish to walk as an act of devotion.
  • By road: Vehicles can go up to a certain point, followed by a short and easy climb.
  • By ropeway: Enjoy a comfortable and scenic ride directly to the hilltop, with panoramic views that make the journey unforgettable.

From the base of the hill, a comfortable 1-hour drive takes you to Anandpur Sahib Railway Station. The route passes through peaceful countryside and rolling hills, giving you time to reflect on your spiritual experience.
